The school year 2008-2009 has been the greatest year ever. Of course there were up's and downs but there's nothing stoping me from admiting that this yeas has been the best school year of my life. This year I got to experience things but best of all i learned alot. I learned about new things in my classes, about my friends, and best of all about myself.
A a senior at east millbrook, i made it my goal to leatn as much as possible and enjoy it. I truly beleive I reached my goal. Over the school year, i beleive my favorite class was social studies because we talked about WWII. I love learning about WWII because we talk about the Holocaust and how the U.S. got involved. I never really knew much about it except that Hitler was trying to get rid of all the Jews, and this year I learned U.S. got involved and how germany was stopped. it's tragic but yet again an interesting event in history.
I also learned that friends come and go but the truthful ones are the ones that stay. This year I've been through so many friends i mean what middle schooler doesnt. I started out with so many friends but im ending the year with only about 5 i would call my best friend. I've learned not to be scared of anyone and if you feel you have something to sayabout anyone tell it to their face. Going behind people's back and telling others create's drama and it's real bad. I have personal experience and it doesnt feel good. I've learned that if you have issues with someone talk it out ro resolve your issues. If they take it wrong, then you'll know they're not you real friends.
The most important thing I've learned is about myself. I've learned that im really smart if i put my mind to something, i can get it done. I remember i took a tough test in science but i trusted myself and my insticts and i passed that test with a perfect score. i always knew I was smart but this year prooved me right. i really feel like i've grown up and learned alot. i learned that I am beutiful in every way and I shouldn't let people take me down.
I plan on taking everything I've learned to high school. Th things about my friends, classes, and myself. I'm truly going to miss this school and everyone I've grown to love and care for. I beleive the last day of school I'll cry my eyes dry. This year was the best and I'm sad it's going to end.

Magnum in Motion

I think the essay of Detroit The Troubled City is one of the best things I've ever seen. It is about Detroit and the homes there. The homes are very damaged and I think it was caused by foreclosed homes that have been abandoned and was not being treated. It's real sad on how this city to working hard to make something of nothing and out of what's left. The city is ready to collapse and there's not much being done.

Fashion
Here I have a picture of kendra demonstrating one of the latest fashion styles.
Fashion
What’s worse than your mom dressing you, wearing yesterday’s fashion! If you’re trying to get through your middle school years as a successful, you have to know what to wear and what not to.
Some of the newest styles of 2009 for women include skinnies, dresses or skirts with leggings, checkered shirt, flats, high top shoes, Bermudas, neon colors, and graphic tees. Styles of 2009 for men include straight legged pants, high top shoes, converse, vans, and graphic tees.
“Teens like to express themselves usually by what they wear and how they wear it” said future fashion expert Brittany. “Nothings wrong with dressing in the latest clothes and looking good.”

Enviroment
I took a picture of Mr. Lemmon because he is very fun and I heard he's a great teacher. I took a picture of him his classroom/enviroment teachin. When I went to his class he was so energetic and everyone was paying attention to him while he was reading. So congradulations to Mr. Lemmon for being an inspiration to my enviroment project.
Portrait
I decided to choose marlea's picture as a portrait because she's very beutiful and very unique. I mean how often do you meet a girl in middle school with pink puffy hair. Also she is very creative. She has a diffrent sense of style that I know most middle schoolers woulnt wear. So congrats to you marlea and I am happy to be using you as a portrait!
Favorite Memory
Memories, they're the thoughts or experiences we could never forget. The bad thing about memories is that they come both ways. They could be good or bad. My favorite memory happens to be a good one. My first trip to France.
I was the first time I got to ride a plane. I was only nine so of course I was afraid. I was excited to get off because I knew I wasn't going to see y cousins. I had only met them when once when I was five, but I could hardly remember their faces. I was real happy to see them.
I was real excited just to be out of the United States. I have breathed that air for so long, I was happy to be somewhere else. There were a beautiful breeze and nice fresh air there it was amazing.
The best part of the whole trip was the fact that I got to spend time with my family. My mom and dad both worked forty hours a weak and sometimes even more. So I was just very happy to be together on that trip. Usually my mom goes alone but this time the entire family got to go. It was an amazing experience and if I could do all over I would.
So yeah my favorite memory was our family trip to France. The air was soft and cool. There was a good breeze, and it was good to be away from the U.S.

If I were...

If I could be any leader in the world I would be the CEO of a fashion industry. These day’s people feel they have to change their body to make it as a model. For that reason they result to negative changes. Some people will even change the way they act to make it big. I would also change the clothes these models are forced to wear. Also they take pills that are both unhealthy and disgusting.
In order to be a model, women result to unimaginable things. Some may even end their social lives. They block their friends and family out of their lives and simply concentrate on the path to being a model. If I were a CEO I would encourage family involvement and hot shows especially for friends and family.
As a CEO of a fashion industry, I would definitely encourage healthy models. Lately models feel they have to starve themselves to make it big. By this they become anorexic or even bulimic. As a CEO my number one priority would be health.
I would also change the clothes these models have to wear. I believe with my since of fashion, I would have the hottest clothing line available. I would create hot clothes that are still appropriate and comfortable. No model with have to be uncomfortable while working the runway.
I believe if I were a CEO not only will I own the hottest clothing line, I would have the best fashion agency. I would promote family interaction, healthy lifestyles, and comfortable dressing. I believe I would be the best.

Change
I am a unique person. I have many likes and dislikes. Actually I have a lot of dislikes. If I would change anything about myself it would be my hair. Also my eye vision. Along with the way I dress. I like myself perfectly but I would Change a few things if I could.
I would definitely change my hair. I have short, thick, black hair. I would like to have long soft hair like my mom. She's mixed with Dominican and French so she has long soft hair. I happened to get my fathers side with thick hair. Along with my hair being long, I would die is brown with red highlights.
My eye vision is also something I don’t like. I think I’m far sighted because I can see from a distance but not up close. Ever since I was in the 2nd grade, I’ve worn glasses. I don’t wear glasses anymore but I wish I could see far away!
The biggest thing I would change about myself would be the way I dress. I have the biggest imagination ever and I love fashion. With these two things I believe I should be best dressed of the entire school. It’s not that my parents don’t have the money but I want a lot of stuff. Fashion is a big part of my life so I would change the way I dress.
People come with a lot of insecurities. I would change myself to be a better person. My hair, eye vision, and fashion would be the things I would change. Overall I think I’m a great person with a few flaw.

When i grow up, i want to be a pediatrican. I love helping people in every way possible and I love kids at the same time. For that reason Im going to specialize in helping kids.
